Bit of disruption on my blog because my site was accidentally? deleted.  Still my stats to recover but I’m getting there.  Make the case?

The Unionists and the media taunt us to ‘Make the Case’ for independence.  This is a trick question.  Why would we make the case? so let’s examine the concept for ‘making a case’ and consider whether this is actually a stupid question.

OK.  You are getting married, you choose a church do.  You stand there in front of the Minister, Vicar, Priest or whoever.  You have everything ready, all done, good to go, what could possible go wrong?

Ring – check, speech – check, mild sedation – check.  Let’s go.

You are about to take your vows and here it comes – the curved ball, you did not see this coming!

 

Before we proceed, Janet and John I would like to confirm that you can make the case for getting married?

….

Eh! what?

1. Can you afford to do this?
2. What will you do for money?
3. What if you decide this is not working – you do know you can’t go back?
4. Relatives or even family will abandon you for sure?
5. You do realise the supply of housing is almost gone, where will you live?
6. What if you lose your job, your pension, your employer leaves?

Janet and John, you haven’t really thought this through?

 

Suddenly it all comes back.  When I went to the doc with a sore back, he asked me all these questions.  Why did I want to get better? Why was I trying to get healthier?  Have you thought about this?  Can you make the case and we can have a look at your back?

Let me clear this up.  Some questions in life DO NOT NEED TO BE ASKED.  You have a Right to decide to get married, to enjoy your best health (ok, there are a few checks you might make for yourself).  These are basic freedoms –  YOU HAVE THAT RIGHT WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION

So, let me give you a final summary.  You want to live in a country, your country.  One that makes its own decision, one that controls it own destiny.  One where the Government may get it wrong and get kicked out and replaced.  This is your collective Right.  This is the Right of the people.  You have a Right to live in a FREE country A SOVERN RIGHT!!

YOU DO NOT MAKE A CASE FOR THE FREEDOM OF YOUR COUNTRY and CERTAINLY NOT TO YOUR NEIGHBOURING COUNTRY.

So, when someone in this country states that we must MAKE THE CASE to control our own destiny, you know they are either fools or they are trying to bait us or make us fail.
