I have followed the Referendum debate from the start. I have allowed my opinions to swell up inside me. I have brow beaten so many people close to me in sheer frustration. But, now I have an outlet. I watched Question Time from Peebles and noticed that a lot of the audience were even older than me, phew!!
A number of ‘elders’ vocalised that they wanted to stay with the union. Do you really think this is about you? Smell the coffee. If we get a ‘yes’ vote by the time negotiations get going, you and me will be thinking about our bus pass and our winter fuel. An Independent Scotland is for our children and our grand children and their children. I am from the lucky generation who missed the second world war by a whisker. Almost 60,000,000 people died to avoid a life of servitude. Scotland now has an opportunity to vote for or against servitude without any blood being spilled.
We’re not voting for our future, we are voting for our children’s future.
It’s not about the Pound, it’s not about the EC and it’s not about Trident. Actually, it’s not about Alex Salmon and it’s not about politics, it’s a simple question – DO YOU WANT IT? – DO YOU WANT IT FOR YOUR CHILDREN? – WELL DO YOU? – sometimes it takes some guts, and there are no guarantees {not like the coalition manifestos?}
Whatever you do, make sure you ask for what you want!
